Description:Metabolic perturbation has been associated with depression. To examine peripheral metabolome changes, untargeted metabolic profiling was employed in the serum of chronic social isolation (CSIS) rats, an animal model of depression, and/or chronic fluoxetine (Flx) treatment using liquid chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry.
